Whole Ocelotta Love

Woodland Park Zoos/Recordng artists are at it again, cranking out number one hits. No, it's not the latest from the Turtles, or the Gorillaz, this time it's the ocelots. Take one part folk-gee-tar, one part striped muzzlepowshe. Crank it on your Zuuuune baybeee!

I am unclear who I have angered - my job has NOTHING to do with baby ocelots. It seems rather pointless to continue to come to work once I see something like this. I don't even have one waiting for me at home! ;_;

they have really large foreheads like human babies!

It looks like the zookeeper is trying to arrange them like flowers at about 0:45 to 1:00... Lady, they're kittehs, not posies! Please kiss their little haids, for all of us watching!

So sweet! I wish I could hear the original soundtrack, though--they appear to be making some kind of noises, and I'd like to hear what they are. I'm guessing some kind of squeaking or snorting.

Wow, what stunningly beautiful kittens. I felt sorry for the techs having to wear rubber gloves and not being able to feel how soft they must be!

They seem to be thinking 'Okay, we're getting fed, so I don't need to maul you...yet. Now make with the food.'

Just beautiful creatures.

 |  Nov 24, 2008 at 12:44 PM

They're so pweshuss!!! I have an ocicat at home - too bad they're only called that because they sorta resemble the ocelot, not because they actually have ocelot genes in them. Although her nose does look just like these babies, more red than pink.

I'm with NotElvis, I wanted to tell the lady to stop futzing with them! Mostly because I wanted to be the one futzing with them...sigh.

no kissing , no rubbing faces on the purrfectly sanitary lil babies- ya filthy hoomans! ;)
how do these people GET these "jobs"? and how do they live knowing 'we' (the collective majority of cuteologists here) do not have said jobs with such fluffatude?

 |  Nov 24, 2008 at 02:03 PM

OMG...you know the stripes up the head are the petting landing zone. I have rubbed a hole in the monitor trying to land right down the middle with the petting. Nose to forehead, nose to forehead...must land exactly in the middle....

 |  Nov 24, 2008 at 02:19 PM

Ocelittles. LOL, Katrina! And I laughed at the end note, too. Obviously zoos have nuff invasions, too.

I think the handler was trying to get the kittens to sit still long enough for the scale to weigh them, and the one obstinate little beggar wanted owwwt!

AuntieMame
 |  Nov 24, 2008 at 02:21 PM

oh well, good thing I'm not a zoo employee, I'd probably get busted for snorglin' kitty bellies too.

Ray
 |  Nov 24, 2008 at 02:34 PM

The kittenhisses slayed me dead, and then I felt bad 'cos they were probably frightened, if they were hissing.

The world does not get enough of this. How could you look at a baby ocelot and feel anything negative?
