Strange sleepingk po-see-shons

Look at this sleepy lil' bookend.

She's all wedged between your Tolstoy and Lonely Planet: Chile and stuff.

Balaam M., nice YouTube scouring.

AHHHH! So close to bleening first...
My dog twitches to when he sleeps. But alas he is to big to fit upon my bookshelf,

a-ha-ha-ha-ha! hilariously adorable! the little paw twitches, the little groggy squeaks ("wha? i wasn't asleep .... zzzz ...."), the little staggering attempt to escape the paparazzi.

but hey, who doesn't occasionally fall asleep over a book?

Oh goodness, did anyone else feel horribly guilty when that kitty bombed that why did you wake me up guilt trip look at the camera? I regretted everything I did and didn't do for the last 10 years! (Before that, I'm proud of the bad ;)

Speaking as an insomniac, I find this SO unfair. I can't fall asleep in a comfy bed in a comfy position and here little kittenness nods off on a hard shelf in an origami position. Jealous!

Goodness, that is just the cutest thing I've EVER seen, and I've been on this site ALOT. I didn't even think it was a real kitty until she twitched. And that little wake-up squeak? Kill me dead with the qte.

I was not sleeping, I was resting my head in an upside-down posishe to better enable blood flow to the brain so I could more fully contemplate the magnificent complexities of the 19th century Russian novel.

I love the ending where it's all like MAH FUZZY BUTT, LET ME SHOW YOU IT. My cats do that all the time.

Uhh, there is no Tolstoy on that shelf. I believe the kitten was studying AP Spanish.

I seriously thought she was dead until she moved! So cute!

Diana
 |  Dec 20, 2007 at 01:56 PM

On second thought she might have been learning Turkish, or planning her trip to the Carribbean or Chile. Those are all equally possible.

Diana
 |  Dec 20, 2007 at 01:59 PM

She would fit so nicely into the selfhelp/inspiration section of my bookshelf...or the flopping and squeaking section if I was to have one.

Freakin' adorable!

Oh my gosh! Did you hear the sweet little squeaky sounds at the end? So precious.

Furbabies
 |  Dec 20, 2007 at 02:06 PM

I love how she looks kind of embarrassed to be caught.. "who, me? I wasn't sleeping upside down. Really. I was .. er .. looking for scary bugs under the shelf, so I could save you from them. Yeah. That's what I was doing. I'll just .. go look for bugs somewhere else now." (toddles off)

Cats are the epitome of non-chalant. Even when they are chalant.

That little paper collar tells me that the kitty was adopted from the shelter not too very long before the vid was taken. Yay, shelter kitten finds a home!

I have a squeaky sleeper here. Pickles is nearly eight and still acts like a kitten when he wakes up :) He is, however, no longer quite the size of a paperback... think, well, Oxford English Dictionary. Unabridged. :D
