I love Sir David but he really shouldn't have that island with all the dinosaurs.
Far too dangerous!

 |  Sep 10, 2007 at 07:50 AM

I love the baby's use of Mom's ear as a stepping stone while trying to climb over her.

Also, mother's ever-so-graceful descent back into her den is glorious (back feet out behind her, sliding down inside). It's the only way about it!

I love seeing such a large, powerful animal be so gentle and calm around her young.

Its all about 2:37, when the baby polar bear is on momma's neck, using her ear for leverage, lol.

Aww, polar bears. That reminded me of the report that they might die off. :/

And maymee - that's his brother, Sir Richard Attenborough, who also has a soft, mellow voice. :)

Has anyone actually seen the series?? I am so surprised no one mentioned how sad it is that these creatures are dying because of what we are doing to the environment :-(

I think that should be "budder."

 |  Sep 10, 2007 at 09:07 AM

Wouldn't it be great if Sir David narrated the soundtrack of your daily life? "...after (too few)hours of confinement under the duvet she stumbles to the shower, perhaps to wash her hair, perhaps for sheer joy..."

Oh, and those leetle bear cubs traversing across the steep snow absolutely slayed me!

I have already sent in this link, but in case you don't post it, I still want to share it. It is a slide show of a huge polar bear frolicking with a dog up in Canada. It's incredibly cute and sweet:

I love David Attenborough, but those bears are soooooo anerable, I could have listen to Fran Drescher narrate that!

 |  Sep 10, 2007 at 12:11 PM

Ok, so it's Richard and not David with the dinosaur island. You're missing the point - having dinos wandering around is NOT good, people.

Those Attenborough boys are Trouble.

Thanks for posting this video up, Cute overload. It really draws attention to the plight of global warming. Those glaciers might not even be there by the end of my life. (I'm 15)
