aw I want to pet him!such big eyes.
Zowie--lookit those eyes. Is this someone's pet? I was wondering what's up with the car and the sneakered feet in the background.
Awww, Ocelittle...
Is it me, or does this thing look malnourished?
aahhhh.
the beautiful sparkling eyes and the smile, and the lil teef, and the baby tail and the roundy ears.
its an angel!
may i hug him?
pwease?
Don't get me wrong, if that behbeh is real, I'm sure it's the cutest thing ever, but is that real? Looks a tad creepy. I still want to hug it.
It's an anime kitteh! With big googly eyes and out of scale feet!
garsh, ocelot o' spots 'e gots.
kitty is so.. disproportionate all over that it MUST be cute. *paws at the paws*
Almost looks like a statue, especially with those huge, glazed eyes. A little disquieting to look at. Beautiful markings, though.
MyFirstPublish™ *tears in eye*
Beyootiful bebeh ocelot!!
SQUEEE! An ocelot, no?
There's a scene with one in Fitzcarraldo.
Eeeeeeeeek! Spotty kitties are the bestest! Is that an ocelot or a margay?
The pawsitude, the legulence, the dinner dish size eyes.
a real life kitty anime'
I darn near just fainted dead away from teh qte. This little guy's (or girl's) got it all goin' on!
Once again, Cute Overlords, you've made me say that this is the cutest thing I've ever seen. How many cutest-things-I've-ever-seen can there possibly be!?
It's a 'Margay', no other kitten. Google it, it's redonk.
His feet are on the same scale as his eyes!
Margays are (says the internet) solitary and nocturnal...so what the heck is this one doing standing on a curb in the middle of the day? Is it a pet?
The markings! *dies from overload* Just look at that gorgeous fur... want to pet so baaaad.
Is he making muffins on that rock?
My first thought (after saying/thinking Awwwwww) was that this was one of those designer cats, like the Toyger...because of the background (and the closeness of the photographer) I'm wondering if it's domesticated? Maybe it's in a foreign country since they have such cooler pets than the U.S. lets us have! I want it!
"I licked a funny stamp."
http://icanhascheezburger.com/?s=funny+stamp
(note to kiddies: do not lick funny stamps.)
I would name it Gollum.
This is one of the few times I'm ashamed of Texas:
Distribution: The Amazon Basin, Argentina, Uruguay, Belize and Brazil. Extinct in Texas, USA. (from http://www.bigcatrescue.org/margay.htm)
The link above has an extra bracket at the end...just take it off and the link works.
He bite! (but he is soooo cute!)
I can help you with your paw problem! (Nibbles them. It doesn't work, but I keep nibbling anyway.)
Is this one of the Persian leopard triplets at the Budapest Zoo?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070814/ap_on_sc/hungary_leopard_triplets
From what I can see on the internets it seems to be a Margay but where is he? One site I found said there are only 64 in the world so presumably they aren't just out roaming city streets. Does anyone know?
He is named Lucky. He lives in the village "San Juan del Sur" in Nicaragua.
Him has racing stripes!!!
Wow, beautiful! But I too am creeped out by those eyes... Imagine this cat coming at you in the middle of the night and you can see where all those alien abduction stories come from!
Those are what i call "Muffin feet" (cuz they look like muffin tops)
My cat has muffin feet, but surely, these are extreme.
ZOMG He's precious!! I thought maybe someone had managed to snag a pic of the SF Zoo's new bebeh ocelot... I didn't even know what a margay was! I guess you learn something new every day.
My brain says that this is a kitteh, and kitteh=cute...yet my feet say RUN AWAY! Ever-so-slightly scary. ACK! What to do??!
Best knobular knuckles known!
That is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen...I am seriously in love...
i want to go nam nam nam on his feet - that's silly isn't it?
now _that's_ a pretty-kitty if ever I saw one.
can you say Photoshop?
no its not silly to want to go nam-nam to his feet I want to too.
I think its CO to the Extreme It makes me wish it was in a safe spot to be a wild kitteh, is there not a zoo that Lucky can go too????
Margays are very similiar to ocelets and the only differance is this margay is smaller than them (ocelets). They have limited wildlife areas left to inhabit and are night dwellers that with their great feet can call the tree tops there home. They even eat fruit, now even thats cute.
Ok he is bootiful. Love the expression. But, I'm sorry, I just have to. These should NOT be pets people!!!!!!!!! Margay or ocelot I can't say. He looks healthy tho and happy. But being a pet is not the responsible action here.
On another note, the sanctuary I interned at has a Margay named, get ready for it....Pancho. Go here for lots of pics of him and maybe some video!
What beautiful big eyes, for seeing in the dark?
I'm thinking the same as Jen - reminds me of Gollum.
Hisses: “I must have the RING!”
Just noticed my link didnt post....huh.
OK lots of pics of a Margay named Pancho AND vids!

!!! "It has joints in its ankles that rotate 180 degrees. This helps it climb down vertical trees headfirst... It can also hang from tree limbs by one hind foot." !!!
I think the little guy is in a sanctuary or zoo protection program. Just a feeling I have. The area looks like a spot where the kitteh can wander around and get used to being near humans.
