Oooh!! I want to resize it and use it as a livejournal icon!! A DRAMATIC livejournal icon!

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 08:51 AM

Awww...so cutely dramatic. I love this little guy, especially his tiny haunches. Jaunty!

For the love of jauntiness
 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 08:52 AM

Wow. Instead of I Shall Leeck You, he looks like he saying I Shall Keel You.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 08:57 AM

Well described- So perfect- So 80s soap opera. Love his eyes. And the camera work, of course.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 08:58 AM

Ah-hahahahah....that was soo funny!

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 09:00 AM

I can just see him with a little cape where he swooshes it up over his nose. Vampyre bat?? NO...I am the seductive vampyre go-fer.

How DARE you offend my go-fer sensibilities! -=waggles eyebrows and wriggles nose=-

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 09:55 AM

I would like to see a whole telenovela with gophers.

Gopher: "What is my motivation?"

Director gopher: "Gopherella is in a coma after an accident involving a nut and doesn't remember anything."

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 09:59 AM

so perf

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 10:18 AM

i keep looking at this clip. its too funny! kudos to the person who shot this- zooming in just at the right moment to feel the full dramatic impact.

i keep hearing the stabbing violin music from the shower scene in psycho.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 10:39 AM

LOL! I can't get enough of Senior Gopherto. Total telenova action. I don't speak Spanish but I'm irresistibly drawn to those shows.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 10:46 AM

totally agree,
I flip around the cable and find myself staring at the spanish speaking channels like a car wreck, you just cant look away!
and Senior Gopher reminds me of those hideous soaps where the offended party turns suddenly and the music rises "DADADA DAHHHHH"
hilarious! his little lips are pursed just right for offended-ness.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 10:49 AM

Kinda looks like a prairie dog. But I'll call him whatever he wants after that GLARE!

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:05 AM

He sorta looks like he's doing what Joey Tribbiani would call "smelling the fart" acting.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:11 AM

This is the look that every father would give when the daughter cries, "but daddy...i luf eem!"

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:13 AM

Dazie, LOVE the caption on that vid!

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:27 AM

That gopher is kinda creeping me out.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:27 AM

Looks like Thriller to me.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:31 AM

is it me or does it sorta look like Alfred Hitchcock?

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:33 AM

O RLY ...

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:41 AM

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:41 AM

there is something very Austin Powers about this!

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:45 AM

Another quote from him could be: "Well, I guess the look I'm best known for is Blue Steel."

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:52 AM

He is absolutely a telenovela star.

I want to see a novela starring gophers, groundhogs, guinea pigs, gerbils, and any other rodent-like things beginning with 'g' (or any other letter).

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 11:55 AM

I will Pierce you with my steely gaze. How Dare you triffle with My Daughters Heart.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 12:01 PM

If they made Spanish TeleNovells all with animals (THINK: Disapproving Rabbits, Kittehs, Squarrels) I would so watch it. Think of the voice overs, and the interspecies snorgling.

Hamster wife (to husband) Aye! Mia! I caught you inter-snorgling with a kitteh!

Hamster husband shurgs.

The Drama.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 12:17 PM

This is a cropped version.. There's a bigger version being passed around the internet with subtitles at the bottom, calling this guy a prairie dog. I don't think it's a gopher..
[/slight nuff]

But I can't stop laughing. It's even better if you imagine "DUN DUN DUNNN" music playing in the background.

Dazie - the Church Lady caps are so on the money, honey!

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 12:57 PM

Someone very much needs to make a YTMND matching this gif to audio from the Church Lady.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 01:14 PM

I agree with violet, I think it's a prairie dog.

Cute nonetheless.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 01:23 PM

How dramatics! It needs a dramatics soundtrack.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 01:26 PM

You just said WHAT about my mother??!!??

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 01:36 PM

This li'l guy has stolen C.O. today! The more I look the funnier it gets. Talk about the evil eye - WOAH!

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 01:52 PM

I clicked on this. AT WORK. My coworkers thought I was crying because I was face down on my desk, shaking, trying to keep the laughter inside! LOL, thanks Meg.

 |  Jun 05, 2007 at 03:11 PM

El Perro del Prairie es muy bueno.

Somewhere on YouTube, there must be animal telenovelas.
