Aww!! His arms are too little to pull himself out! I hope right after this pic was taken, the person went over and gave him a great big helping hand lol. His face looks all squished too lol!
This looks like just about every pet and baby I've ever been responsible for. The all LOVE getting stuck in precarious positions with arms flailing. But then, they probably got that from me. I got it from Mom, who, when she was very small, fell into the toilet and got stuck. Apparently my grandmother fell over laughing. Mum didn't find it so funny, though.
Quick! Someone go get the rescue squad and that crane that they use to get horses unstuck from the mud! If he ate enough to get stuck they're gonna need it!
saaaaaaaaave me! saaaaaaaaaaaave me!! it's ok lil prairie dog, i need saving too.... VOTE VOTE VOTE LIKE A BABY STOAT!!!!!!!! noooooo, it's in my head!!!!!!! and yet, it has a cute lil ring to it.
YAY Prairie Dawgs!!!
I just saw a show on TV (can't recall the channel) about how P-Dawgs are FINALLY getting the respect they deserve out on the plains. The ranchers are figuring out that they keep the prairie tilled and growing and fertillized so the grass can keep feeding their cattle. And they DON"T spead the bubonic plague.
This little guy reminds me of kids at the zoo trying to see over the walls into the enclosures. "Pick me up Mom. Mom, hey Mom, pick me up!!"
Oh, what a wonderful pic, love the tocks hanging over the edge, PLease someone come lift me out me's too full. Looks like he or she has a grin on that little face too. Snorgle time I agree if we help this critter out of this tight spot.
Slooooooow for me, too. I figure our fav site is being over-run by curious checker-outers who are lookin' at all the blog award nominees. So be patient, peeps.
Indeed.... very slow. we can only hope it's just the visitors from the "VOTE VOTE VOTE, LIKE A BABY STOAT" ppl times thingie...... if u can make sense of that, yur a genius.....
I disagree with all of the above comments. Do not be fooled. He looks to me like a fugitive and that's why he's got the paws up. He's pretending to give himself up to the police and disarming them with his squeeeeeshed face cuteness. Don't fall for it. He robbed......well....i don't know what prairie dogs eat, so i don't know what he would rob. What a naughty. (But a cute naughty)
I really, really hate prarie dogs. My particular city is overrun with them. They burrow onto the playground at the schools and many a day I've given my mother rides to her job teaching kindergarten or come in to give guest lectures to ESL students and had to help move dead prarie dogs off the playground before the kids could see them or chase them away when they go chasing after the littlest kids.
And yet CuteOverload keeps proving, time and time again, that despite what I think, prarie dogs can be toxically cute. CURSE YOU MEG! *Melts at the cuteness*

Prairie Dog sez: "Paws Up!"
I'm not sure it's possible for me to love this photo any more than I do. Unless perhaps this lil guy was wearing a firehat. How cute would THAT be.
