A cousin-of-a-cousin of mine, whom I met maybe four times, used to have all sorts of weird pets. He was mainly interested in snakes, but he also had some other reptiles (lizards), a few exotic birds, and a "slow loris", which is basically a type of sloth. (Which prompted one of the other cousins to comment, "I wonder if there's a 'fast loris'?") I love me some kittehs. And fat little puppies who love everybody make me swoon. But this little guy actually brought me to tears with the cuteness. There's a french word-phrase that the NE Francophones still use "jolie-laid" which literally means 'pretty-ugly'.
