Sender-Inner Lorel J says: "Earlier this year I hatched 3 praying mantis egg cases (insert comment about sitting on them). Finally a grown-up one found me. I don't flatter myself that it came to thank me for the gift of life, but it did leave me a little present, albeit unintended. [see CU with circled gifty-poo, also attached] Guess he was nervous, poor guy. Probably soothed himself by chawing on a ladybug."
Nicely done, Lorel! Nice circling on the perpe, too. I like how the mantis arms are up in a bashful posishe, with head tilt.
Yay for poops and manti.

OMG, please tell me this guy is not for reals.
There is only one thing to say here: "Grossatating!"
Oh, and nasty, Doradoradorabora. Seriousleh. Zack Scott, points for creativity tho.
California Snailiomobile Association agent Snailio Iglesias, here, showing you the VERY BEST of the San Francisco Bay. [Antennae swing around to show map]
On your tour, we'll trail thru Muir Woods compost piles, slither the bay bridges and slowly go down Lombard street. If we have time, we'll go to Tiberon for Snailgaritas on the deck—no salt, of course...
Iris L., you and Snailio make sweet (but, um, slow) tour guides.
I cannot believe the genius that is sender-inner Rob I.
NO, that's NOT just the Shiraz talking. Or eeees eet!?
LOL, Rob I. "L" to the "O" to the "L".
For a quick primer on "'Tocks", check the Glossary.
P.S> Nice HAIRY leaf!!! [shaking head]
I think we need a new category.
I'm thinking it's something along the lines of "Sugar and Spice" or "Wait a minute! Scroll down!" or "Cute or Gross?". This new category would cover any photo that was anerable yet...disgusting!
Like dees: [head tilt] 1 part "I Shall Leeck You", 1 part fawn 'tocks, and ONE PART POOPULENCE!
Help me, CuteOverload! Is it cute or gee-ross!? HALP!
Meanwhile, nice work, sender-inner Mimi M. You've set new category wheels turning...
Well, I guess you better just...
go on ahead there.
Yup...
When things got you down
and you got a perma-frown it's
'Tocks Up!
(bird) 'Tocks Up!
When everything sucks
and your pockets have no bucks it's
'Tocks Up!
'Tocks Up!
When you sleep through the alarm
and Grandpa bought the farm it's
'Tocks Up!
(in this case bird) 'Tocks Up!
Sing it with me, People! (and William B.T.!)
Karen A writes:
"Last night I walked to the bathroom, turned on the light (thank GOD i turned on the light) rounded the corner and saw...well, I didn't know what it was. I saw an ear and gray/black fur and that's as far as I could go. I called linda saying something like "um...lINDA! there is SOMETHING as big as a SMALL rabbit in our toilet. YES! I'M SERIOUS! hurry up, I'm gonna cry." It ended up being a opossum. When Linda got him out he was all shivery and baby and then i called him lil' winkie. We put him in a carrier with towels and left him outside hoping that he'd make it until the morning. It's funny how he went from disgusting, horrid creature to pitiful, little baby. He is fine today, Linda's going to take him to the Prairie Park Nature Center."
She continues: "The worst part of the whole experience is the what if's that keep running through my head. What if I didn't turn on the light? I hardly ever turn on the light at night to pee. What if I went to pee and it brushed against my butt? Or if i was wiping and it touched my hand? Karen think's that I would have thought I had a opossum baby, which is possible. Then we would have to name him Jesus and it would be a miracle to be investigated by the church. Seriously, and where the hell did he come from? There are no openings anywhere in the house (we checked because i was convinced that his big, mean, momma was under the bed) so the only conclusion that we can come to is that he crawled up the pipe. ugahhblaghhshivercreepyfreakout."
Karen A.—too funny.
Because the joke possibilities are endless! [singsong]
And what's with all the shearing posts lately? I mean, what's the deal with that? [Seinfeld voice]
As submitter G3K says: "This one's a home run."
Excellent photo, Glamphyre!
