I agree, I think this is pretty harmless and the situation is under control, Hyura C.

RIGHT!?

Those are two gorgeous hunks of cathood. I just LOVE the spotted belleh.

The gray kitty looks just like my 18 yr old Muffy. Only Muffy would never get that close to another kitty, she would snarl at him for being in her way and walk a wide circle around him. The only time she has snuggled with any of my other cats was when the ice storm shut the power off for a week, then she was happy to keep warm with them.

Wow, what a beautiful kitty corpse! I've never seen a cat quite like that - anyone know what kind it is? I love how that back leg is curled slightly around the chair leg.

I think it looks like the spotted kitteh is only pretending to be asleep and having a hard time not cracking up... especially when Mr.Grey Paws is poking him in the belleh.

The gray looks like the spotted one's shadow. Maybe he escaped out the window for a little nighttime fun and is now returning, like Peter Pan's shadow.

Is that a bengal? Two bengal kittens boarded at my job and I believe an employee ended up adopting them because they were such beasts that the owner didn't want them! (they were beasts; I strongly disliked them) THIS ONE'S CUTE THOUGH!

2 beautiful kittehs! I love the leopard one (which in my head I always pronounce like leotard, because they are very nearly the same word, and I don't understand why they are pronounced differently).

Those cats are PRETTY!!

I wonder if the leopard cat is an Egyptian Mau? They are the only naturally spotted domestic cat... We think our cat Strife is part Egyptian Mau... he has a lot of the Mau characteristics, including spots, and a propensity to play fetch. (Srsly)

This scene of diabeetus inducing qte would NEVEER happen in my house. In my house it would go more like...

"sniff, sniff."

"snarl."

"hiss."

"growl."

"spit."

"more hissing."

"batting with claws."

"poofy tails."

"running away, leaving fur tufts behind".

Methinks this is not a leo-pard (illegitimate offspring of a lion and a pard), but rather a *true* Pard. Unlike the dasturdly leo-pard, the Pard is gentle and has the sweetest floral breath, which it uses to draw other creatures near it's lair in order to tell them noble stories. This is likely why grey kitty finds it irresistable. (References 7th century bestiary, while sniffing for fishy kitty breath)

Grey kitty looks like a Russian blue. NOSE, I say, NOSE!

Alexis
 |  Oct 02, 2008 at 09:48 AM

@Mel...Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead there's only one thing you can do. Go through his clothes and look for loose change.

Grey kitty is all...WTF! This wasn't here this morning!

Noelle
 |  Oct 02, 2008 at 09:53 AM

I would need to see the eyes better on grey kitty to determine if it was indeed a Russian Blue- they have golden amber eyes. But the length of the nose (Blues are a little bit "cobby") as well as the hint of green eyes I see in pic #2 tells me this might be a Korat cat. I have a half-breed Korat, she's so beautiful and sweet.

Hahahaha I love how it doesn't move the whole time the grey cat is messing with him. That is one hell of a napper.

aloria
 |  Oct 02, 2008 at 10:20 AM

Actually, aloria, the cat DID move! Just not much, and it more or less just flopped to the other direction. See picture 5: facing away from the striped container (or whatever it is) and picture 6: facing toward the container.

Such pretty cats! I'm a big fan of spotted cats, I just think they're so exotic looking. I love how the spots on its belly radiate out with the fur. Awesome.

 |  Oct 02, 2008 at 10:35 AM

What a beautiful spotty coat that lil guy has! The grey guy looks like my Mr. Picky aka the Furfactory, except that Picky's fur is more floofy. Is the spotty guy a particular breed? Like "oci-cat?" or some such? Or is he a "dark orange mackerel tabby?"

mberkie0
 |  Oct 02, 2008 at 10:36 AM

Zanna, my Russian Blue has green eyes. Or at least she told me she was a Russian Blue. Maybe she's a secret undercover Korat kitty?

the grey cat looks like my bff's kitty sam! awwwww!!!

 |  Oct 02, 2008 at 10:48 AM

Hmm, Alexis you're right, apparantly I was going by old information. The traditional Russian Blue had amber or orange colored eyes, but at some point along the way has changed to green! My cat breed book is very old. I guess this is like the way Siamese cats had round apple heads way back in the '60s (I still like traditional Siamese more).

Zanna
 |  Oct 02, 2008 at 10:50 AM

It's a marbled Bengal kitten and a Russian Blue. You can tell because of the silver sheen on the grey cat's coat. Someone's got two awesome fancy cats. :D

Jessica
 |  Oct 02, 2008 at 10:56 AM

Oh! he looks a little like my bengal, Prince! Makes me want to run home and kiss my little furbaby!
