And Now, Here's Every Episode of Lassie Ever Made
"Whoa there, Lassie! Why the big hurry?"
"What's that you say, girl? Timmy's fallen down a well? And he's broken both legs? And he's surrounded by poisonous snakes?! And he's sinking into quicksand?!? And he's down to three percent power on his iPod?!?!"

"I'm coming, Timmy!! I shall accomplish a daring and heroic rescue in my own particular idiom!"
Let's hope the idiom doesn't require any heavy lifting, Kira G.

(insert applause here)
I love the keet in mid air on the last one.. Its so funny when birds walk/run instead of fly..lol
Alas Sweet Concord you shall not have been mortally wounded in vain!
You think the budgie made off with some of Lassie's hair for nesting material?
(insert insane giggling here)
"And he's down to three percent power on his iPod?!?"
OMG I just snorted! That is the funniest thing I have read in a while. You have a true gift, NTMTOM.
3 percent on his ipod!!!111! that's serious.
*hands birdie charger to carry in beak*
@crazyweinerdoglady: Actually, I'm not quite dead...
don't forget interspecies snorglingk!
THAT was high-larious! I love the open mouth of the birdie in the second pic, going WHAT! Timmy fell down a well? And the third action shot of him trotting off. All he needs is a Lancelot outfit....
L-U-F-F-I-N the Holy Grail ref.
HA!
Gooooo birdie!
That bird brain will never rescue Timmy, Lassie go help!
In my own.. particular... eh...
What's that girl, you say the insurance company cashed the check on Timmy's $10 million life insurance policy?
Being the baby boomer I am...I LURVE this...utterly LURVE EET!!!
WHO you callin' and idiom?
As I watched this the pn--umatic chair upon which my tocks are sitting s-l-o-w-l-y sank down to the lowest it can go,(without my expectation or intervention!) It was a fascinating way to read these three ever-lowering images.
NOMTOM, you take the breath out of a pn--umatic chair! Now THAT's creativity!
I love the leeps-licking in the second panel. "Hello funny little bird. Are you tasty?"
Is it just my imagination or does Lassie look like she's been down the well herself in pic #2? The fur on her back legs just looks a little, um, odd to me.
"Look, down there on the rug!"
"It's a bird! Hey - wait it REALLY is a bird!"
"No, you're both wrong! It's SUPERBUDGIE!"
Yes, it's SUPERBUDGIE, able to leap on swings, swallow and crack seeds with his Super-beak, fly around the living room, and bend steel cage bars with his bare, er - wings(?). And who, disguised here as mild-mannered Clark Cluck, strikes a note for justice, freedom, and the American Way! The only thing that stands in his way is the fact that he cannot lift anything over two ounces! Oh yes, that and any hungry FELINES living nearby.
Because I know we all want to watch it again:

And there was much rejoicing.
Run away!
NOTTOM -- you really need to go multimedia. You could be the master of the cute mashup. Bravo.
um, it was the ladybug in the first frame that finally went off to alert the finally got off to the rescue. She was thinkin, "that Lassie is as slow as a turtle in a frilly skirt that just got her nails done." Then she thought, "What would that kitteh saving dog in Australia do? " Then she got all the other lady bugs that were just chillin', and together, they rescued little Timmy.
Listens to sound effects in head as I read rool over text. imagines paraket trying to fly timmy out of well while LAssie stands at the top barking.
Cracks up completely.
Thanks Teho and NTMTOM...
My day is good now!
NomTom, you have quite the vivid imagination!
Insanely cute! Does this also qualify for the ResQte category?
Annie -- if I could take credit for any part of this, believe me, I would. All I can say is that it makes me want... to... SING!!
BlueMenro -- *snicker*
Someday, Theo, all this will be yours...
[BWAAAA HAHAHAHAHAHA HAA... ha - Ed.]
Hmm Okay Thanks NTMTOM I love everything about this post and Teho I coulda sworn that was your Roll overs ... won't be the first time I was mistaken.
I grew up watching Lassie and Saturday Mornig cartoons. This post totally made my day!
AND she's got huge tracts o' land!
in the beginning parakeet was nomming on the collies feetsies!
That dialogue was riveting! I felt like I was really there--watching the action live or at least sitting in front of a really old, black and white television!
The first Timmy fell in a well. So we got a second one. That one fell down a well. So we got a third. That one tripped on a budgie, hit his head on a turtleskirt, and then fell into a well. But the fourth one stays home and hangs out on the seafoam-colored carpet. And that's the Timmy you're going to get, NTMTOM. The smartest, albeit laziest, Timmy in all of Hollywood.
Mel. 2. *WINS*.
Budgie: those feets are fuzzy, I MUST PREEN THEM!
Collie: WTF?
Person with Camera: CUUUTE! *snaps photos*
Budgies ZOMG CAMERA! RUNAWAY RUNAWAY!
I couldn't watch Lassie when I was in elementary school -it gave me nightmares.
None tonight, though!
Mel2, that was the jumbo family-sized bucket of Awesome, with extra Awesome Sauce.
Bwahaha! Hanna Barbera running sound effect! xD
Gah! A collie is second on my list of what I want most of all in my life!!! More collies PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
NOMTOM, as usual, you're writing is very clever and funny! Thanks for the laughs!
@sunnymum: NTMTOM will now forever be pronounced as NOM-TOM in my mind. I luff you~
Super Budg TO THE RES-CUE! *zoooooms*
NOMTOM, you have once again made me SNERK. It's painful sometimes, but it hurts so good.
Also, you've saved me hours of watching cable TV.
Mel2 FTW!!!!!
...His head smashed in and his heart cut out And his liver removed and his bowels unplugged And his nostrils raped and his bottom burned up
And his penis...
*LOLing at post and comments*
U GO, NTMTOM!!!!! Let's hear it for the baby-boomers on CO!!! (Lassie rules) We had to put our Chloe to rest today. She was a very NICE cat. She seemed grateful for every day that she lived with us. RIP Sweet girl.
NTMTOM - no bird dm agency needs a copy writer. We like dogs though. E-mail me.
As the owner of both a collie and a Sheltie, I must ask - what on *earth* has happened to that dog's undercarriage? As a previous poster asked, did it go down the well with Timmy also?
What is with these budgies? So bold, so brazen! (Thinking of the budgie taming the ginger kitten).
