Looks like one of those things one would put in front of the fireplace.

I keep looking for these at Ikea, and just leave all disappointed-like.

Is no rug, is polish.

Pup also triples as a Swiffer, and probably uses New Shimmer -- Just look at that shine!

(And it's delicious!)

Wow, that's a clean, gleaming floor! Does the dog act as a broom too?

Stefanie

I wonder if anyone has actually named their dog Swiffer. If I had a dog that looked like this, I totally would. But then I also took my rabbit to get his picture taken with the Easter Bunny.

Yes, fabulous flooring, but at what cost? Look what it's done to the poor pup's ears!

Warrior Rabbit- Shuddup! You did NOT! Where is the picture and when will it be on here?

This puffy pupple looks more like a Swiffer Duster than a floor Swiffer... I love that people are commenting on the FLOORS. The nesting instincts, they overwhelm the Cute!

Theo, you forgot to yell "Photoshopped!" because everyone knows there is no way that dog is really that fluffy. In the first picture, someone obviously worked pixel by pixel to put the doggy's reflection in the floor. It can't be natural.

Can I please have the puppy? I promise to give him new ears and another eye, and I also promise not to beep his nose with the mouse pointer every few seconds.

That dog really keeps those floors shined up! All my mutts do to the floors is leave toenail marks and shed fur.

Well, let me just preface it by saying it was 1994 or 1995, before holiday photos with pets were more common (though I think it's still just Santa, no E. Bunny). I stood in line at the mall with bunch of parents who thought I was off my rocker. The Bunny's assistant/photographer didn't quite know what to do, and said she had to clear it with the Bunny, who slowly nodded his big giant head.

Unfortunately, she left the camera at kid-distance, so it was a little farther away (given the size of the subject) than I would have preferred, and made it hard to see him. Plus, it wound up being a Polaroid that has been gathering dust on my refrigerator ever since. I monkeyed around with it (you can't even see his ears, and he was a lop), but this is about as good as I got it.

My friends and I thought the whole thing was ridiculously funny, but no one else (the parents, photographer) seemed to get the joke. E. Bunny was inscrutable.

 |  Sep 26, 2008 at 02:31 AM

Give the poor little bugger a hair cut.

Warrior Rabbit: I think it's hilarious to, I can't see the Lops disapproval but I feel it emanating from that black furry pile.

I would like to watch that doggie in motion- I bet the fur is light and flies behind him as s/he walks.

Yesterday a Mommie brought the family companion into rehearsal- a "Havachon"- half Havanese and half Bichon Frise, all white and that thing was like a Chinchilla it was so furry and fluffy! It looked a bit like a mini poodle. It was very friendly and attracted just the attention I thought it would- girls going "awwwww" and boys trying really hard not to smile. It was a priceless moment. Obviously a great day for the cause of FUZZ everywhere!

@Warrior Rabbit, you're right- if only your bunny's ears were upright s/he'd be more discernable. Still, glad you did it. I was a little kid then and it would have made my year to see a bunneh at creepy Easter Bunny

Warrior rabbit, you rock!

Teho, wot is wrong with the puppeh's ears? I think they are the best part! I am assuming, of course, thet his/her earsies are the adorable curly black bit on the side of his/her head.

*Sigh* for a floor like that.

OMG!! How can you condone the breeding of boneless dogs?? Can't you see how he's suffering!!
Children, avert your eyes.
I'll NEVER, never never visit CO again.
Oh yeah, I want my money back! *narf, narf, narf*

The floors people!
Think of the TREES that gave their very lives so you could stare into its shiny surface and polish with your boneless dogs...
Oh,what is this world coming to!!??
Oh sorry. Forgot to take my meds today...

Does one get a boneless dog at a Boneless Dog Ranch the way one gets boneless chicken at a Boneless Chicken Ranch? Hm. Must ponder a bit more. This is somewhat more complicated than the Sound of One Hand Clapping. P.S. And where DOES one get those floors???

 |  Sep 26, 2008 at 05:32 AM

I have those floors! Yes, Sarah-Jane, it is Brazilian Cherry. It's gorgeous.

But...they show EVERY speck of dust and cat hair no matter how microscopic it may be. Mine never, ever, ever, look that clean and shiny. Ever. Maybe I need one of those doggehs to shine mine up, cuz teh kittehs sure aren't helping. Maybe I could borrow heem for oh say, a year or two, to try it out?

I find this photo disturbing. Are they really using that poor dog as a rug? That's really cruel. I can't believe you would post such awful images CO!

 |  Sep 26, 2008 at 06:19 AM

ahn...that's a lhasa apso if i ever saw one. they are completely capable of lying flat, all limbs straight out in front and back, if they wish, like only little boneless critters can do. my lhasa blossom does this, but sticks her legs straight out to the sides at perpendicular angles, so i call her Hammerhead Blossom. my lhasa rosie does this on her back, the sweet little brindle harlot. my lhasa elliott is usually on my lap and not the floor, so, alas...

I'd love to have a puppeh rug like that in my foyer, but I'm afraid that my three kittehs might scratch on it, or (even worse), go astray and use puppeh for a litter box!!
Go raise children!

Just think! It's a rug that can shake itself!

Awwwww, what a sweet boneless puppers! Love how you can just see his right eye in the first pic. And the dark furries on the tips of his ears is prosh!
Has anyone seen the commercial where a guy is sweeping some floor dust in to a dust pan, and then he puts the "broom" down and it's a Pomeranian that gets up, shakes off, and walks away? freaking hilarious!
