There is almost a family resemblance between the two (I mean the humans... obviously the beavers are related). Eyes, nose, shaped of the face...
Possibly they are long-lost siblings/ half siblings and the love of stuffed beavers is somehow genetic?

That's Igor the Beaver! I have him, too! My parents got my brother and I stuffed beavers (yes, laugh) for Christmas the year real beavers started building a dam in our stream.

I got a great compliment once when I was lamenting the incompatibility of meeting men with being over 40 with multiple cats to a group of girlfriends. One, who is a lesbian, told me that if I was a lesbian, I would be a chick magnet! As usual, wrong place, wrong time, wrong orientation!!! LOL!!!

That stuffed beav has been loved more than the Velveteen Rabbit. He's got a cute helium-like voice and quite the attitude.
