Reminds me of the spot under my oven that one of my cats practically lived in when she was a kitten - I'd go into the kitchen and there'd be this nose-and-whisker set peeping out at ankle level. I didn't cook much till she got too big for the hole!

While this vid is amusing & adorable...& really NOT trying to be a total nuffer...I am reminded of a friend of mine whose "round" kitty got himself stuck in a tight spot (while they were away for a weekend) and suffocated to death (the vet thinks the poor little guy might have a had heart attack in his panic).

Everyone, please don't let that happen to your snarfable beastie...

I love the Grrrn errrk eroww commentary.
When I first got my two Tuxes they soon discovered a gap between the kitchen cupboards, a large stone from the beach solved the problem, and it's still there.

Reminds me of Winnie the Pooh when Pooh gets stuck in the hole in Rabbit's wall.

Remember -- Mind over matter makes Pooh (er, Jeter) un-fatter.

Hate to nuff, but I'm glad he didn't get all the way in there and get stuck... ripping out cabinets can get pretty exspensive. Still, it was cute. :)

Are you sure there isn't a toy in there? I've seen my cats have that level of determination when a small toy mouse or foil ball gets tucked back in a corner.

Oh, and who names their dog Jeter? At least name him after someone from the GOOD team... like Beckett or Papelbon. ;)

This just has to be the cutest and cheekiest thing on 4 little legs.

she should make the hole bigger if he thinks it's his den

 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 07:15 AM

Oh, crikey, yankeebird, it is in your name after all.....
(har, har) the back paws and tail are just toooooo cute.

blair-I bet you are correct, I bet it reminds him of a hole he once was able to fit into-into which he used to fit...

The tocks kilt me. DEAD I AM!

Wicked
 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 07:58 AM

Awwwww! What kind of puppeh is he?

My Sheltie never tried to get between cabinets (he was more husky than Sheltie), but he always used to "park" his head between my knees when I stood up!

Gosh, wish my big butt was that cute!!!

Kris
 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 08:26 AM

it's good he has the butt -- my cats can get right into tiny holes like that...

P.S. Katrina, way to not end a sentence in a preposition!!!

[What are you talking about? - Ed.]
;-)

Kris

"The End"!!! Haw!

AuntieMame
 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 08:35 AM

Is there a mirror in there that Jeter can see?
Thank you, Kris.
Way to use the word 'prepostion' at the end of a sentence! (insertsmileyfacehere)

Katrina

loved the 'tocks at the end : )

Just like Winnie the Pooh !

 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 11:39 AM

As the weeks go by, the hole just gets smaller and smaller...

...mysteriously!

cal
 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 11:41 AM

awww that little pup! It's a good thing he has that bit butt, if he made it through the whole way they might have to rip out those cabinets! Plus, it's cute to just watch him try so hard :)

Sometimes my dog will try and climb under the bed, it usually ends with her being stuck and her hind legs sticking out. Luckily, it's easy to lift up the bed to let her out! :)

Darn. The video is no longer available.

[Nope, it's working. (somebody *always* says this, sigh) Press the F5 key and try again... - Ed.]

Ha! There must have been a runaway toy or treat in there.

 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 12:48 PM

Splayed 'tocks "CHiPs"-style freeze-frame at the end FTW!!!

Although, to be honest, the dog is just doing something he saw in a million episodes of "Tom and Jerry."

 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 02:29 PM

If he weren't growling a bit when trying to get in there, I'd say it was just a hole he'd gotten too big for. (<---preposition. sue me.(raspberry noises))

But the growling makes me think there's a little mousie or two back there.

I'm guessing Michael Jeter, of Mr. Noodle (and Evening Star) fame. Puppy's 'stache is strangely reminiscent.

Evening SHADE. Dangit.

One of my favorite stories when I was little--Now I keep thinking of it as "The Pudgy Little
Puppy." Not to end a sentence in a preposition-- It's the picture of the puppy of which I am most fond.

Aww, too friggin' cute. Reminds me of my chi mutt, who for some reason loves sticking her head into this giant metal pipe we have in the backyard (for some reason) and growling. And when I tap on the pipe and it makes a 'bong!' sound, she whines. What a dummy.

 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 05:38 PM

What you *don't* see is the mouse that's been dead for three days in that space betwixt the cupboards--li'l Jeter wants to get in and roooooll in it...

Leilani
 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 05:45 PM

P.S. Katrina--I'm proud of you!

Leilani
 |  Aug 29, 2008 at 05:46 PM

Caring about prepositions is a sign of someone who is writing for a school newspaper...I do break the rules sometimes, so that someone will have the mistaken idea that I am cool...Outbreaks of
"Puppy Fever" can be a problem...
