Cub benefits from Zoo director's hospitality

According to BBC, Behbeh cubbersons "Zara" was born to a young and inexperienced Ma who wasn't sure how to take care of her. At under three pounds, this cub woulda died if it weren't a certain Linton Zoo Director. Eventually, this cub will be set loose in Uganda, but in the meantime, "Arnie" the cat is getting his snorgle on.

Zoological issue: Is this really "kittens" or does this fall under "interspecies snorgling?"

Zara already knows how to be coy and blasé about the attention! Look at that expression! In her little head, she's thinking, "This is no less than I deserve! Look and learn, y'all..."

And Arnie is sooo sweet.

and very funny about the exchange student. :)

Um....Am I the only one scared for the folks in Uganda?

A big cat who equates humans with food and mama?

I love the expression on the cub's face. It reminds me of my brother when my grandmother used to kiss him.

Speaking of cublets, if you haven't stopped by the Cub Cam lately, they are getting really playful. Looks like they've moved again to the other side of the enclosure. http://atvs.vg.no/player/?id=16995

Thus bolstering my theory that a red cat will mother anything if given half a chance.

Kris...thanks for posting the link to the cubcam, I missed it the first time around and have been frantically searching for it. I do make regular visits to the black footed ferret cam though. Adorable little ferret baby!

What does it take to tame a wild lion? It takes nothing less than a Marmie called Arnie!
