That cat is daring us to take issue with their relationship.

Oh my! I've had such a rotten week, my dog has been in and out of the hospital, and I log on to this! Thank you cute overload! I'll be going to bed with a smile.

Argentee, and all those who are having hard times, we hear you and we're so grateful to the CO for giving you (and everyone) a break from real life.

Like my budgie and cat when I was a kid. The bird totally ruled the cat! RIP Blueberry!

It's nice to see that peace can exist. If this were my kitteh, he'd be playing the chomp chomp game.

I ought to show him this picture next time he leaves me a present on my doorstep.

Yeah, I should say that one of our cats (not Bertha) brought me a not-so-nice present the other day that is the opposite of this picture. So, this is VERY nice to see. Nature is complex.

What a pretty bird and QTE kitty!!! Either somebody knows their kitty REALLY well or maybe kitteh's dentures are out....!!

While bird looks quite comfy, kitty's face looks like he lost a bet.

@berthaservant: That was my neighbor's cats. Quite friendly and loved to hang out in our front yard and sleep under our hedges. Liked to leave 'presents' on occasion as rent. (My kitties have all been indoor kitties).

In Picture 1, it looks like
"PRESENTING OUR LOVELY LAS
VEGAS CHORUS BIRDS"...coming down the staircase in feathers and fur to applause and SQUEEEEEEEES! (Later the announcement--"Ladies and gentlemen...Budgie has left the building.")

EEE! BABY BUDGIE! We just had one that looks almost exactly like this one, too! ...well, except for the unusual striping pattern. Though I have a yellow one that we think is crossed with an English budgie because she's so huge and FLUFFY that has that same pattern. But EEE! FLUFFY BABY BUDGIE AND KITTEH AND MATCHINKS AND YAY!

Pretty birdie and pretty kitty - matchinks, I theenk.

Our cockatiel thinks that she's a dog - even "barks" when the dogs bark. The dogs basically ignore her - and they're terriers, so you'd kind of expect them to pounce...but no. I guess they just accept her as one of them...
Nice to see the interspecies snorgling! :o)

What a gorgeous cat! That face belongs in a national campaign, I'm telling you.

Once more, Meg...You are the funniest with captions. I know I'm repeating myself, but where this genius comes from, I don't know.

I too am a bird-lover, and this budgie looks like mine, and its a girl- they would make a cute pair :D

Another irresponsible pet owner.. All that cat has to do is get a little saliva on that bird and it could die.. Birds NOT mix with cats and dogs.. I wish people would stop putting thier small birds life at risk by doing stupid stuff like this....

tweeky
 |  Jun 12, 2008 at 10:50 AM

Chill the heck out! That bird is not going to die if the cat drools on it. Get over yourself. Birds CAN mix with other species. I ought to know, I have three, and all of them are over 20 years old, have lived with dogs their entire lives, and haven't died of saliva. I really wish people wouldn't overreact and pass judgment on other pet owners. Get over yourself.
