Once again, the DikDik conquers this website
People the DikDik schnozzle is just about the most anerable thing going. Imagine this little guy, sproinging around on the African plains. Saw it muhself and almost die-eee-d. Serious.
Johanna S., even the name 'DikDik' is prosh. COME ON!

gahhhh
I lurve his little mohawk, and the schnozzle overbite action is absolutely keeeellling me!
what in the world ??
Cute Overload with an overbite ????? Cute
and a Mowhawk who ever thought that would be cute?
A perfect example of the "sleepy eye" rule!!
It kind of looks like it came out of a Dr. Seuss book, but with much cuter eyes than most of the Dr. Seuss characters.
definitely looks like something from Dr Seuss :)
I was having a pity party before I saw this. Now I just want to nuzzle the warm earling while looking into the large moist eye... Closing my eyes and smelling the warm snuggleness of it all...
Exotic proshness!
Eye booger!
Sorry, DikDik. You're darn cute, but the klipspringer still kicks your fuzzy butt:

Sorry Jaye, I MUST disagree... the DikDik wins, hands down...

I like Dik-Diks, but if forced to choose, I'm with Bob Harris: Gimmee a Pudu!

Hey,DikDik--You are so cute-
It makes the whole day better! Are you using wax?
I'm supposed to say prosh,
so, okay...PROSH!!
oh goodness! Gonzo made it to cute overload!!
I seem to remember from my zoo days that these little mouthfuls have... PREHENSILE LEEPS!
Look at the giraffe-like lips! I bet they are really soft. Please kiss me little one, right here on my cheek.
check out those ear fuzzies!
The unholy marriage of antelope, camel, and tapir, perhaps?
What a cootie-patootie. I'll take a prehensile-lipped-kiss too.
Is it me or does this redonkulously anerable DikDik look like a sockpuppet wif BIG button eyes?
Rod Stuart haircut.
Yayyyy! Thanks to CO the dikdik is my favorite animal. My sweetie and I even do dikdik faces to each other.
ROFL!
Oh my God.
It looks like David Tennant.

izzn't an eye booger. it's a gland that stinkies come out of to mark territories.
These are tiny antelopes -- little bite-size snacks. With good reason, they're incredibly nervous and very fleet of foot. So I'm amazed to see a picture of one in sharp focus. Wow. When I saw them in the wild, even my eyes couldn't catch them in such good focus.
You have to show the tiny dikdik feets. They are oh-so-cute and delicate.
I think I will have to study the dikdik more closely to come to a conclusion on his cute/proshness.
*dons whitelab coat*
*grabs dikdik*
*runs*
Hey well the dikdik might be cute, but I met one in person once at a Kangaroo ranch near me and the people that work there pull a trick on visitors. They tell you to touch your finger to the dik dik's nose. And when you do he snots out this black goo all over your finger.. gross..
Awwww... Mr. Dik McDikersons... I can picture heem slowly sipping out of a teeny cup o' tea with those dainty leeps!
Once again, a christmas cookie in the guise of a tiny antelope.
[Yay!! - Ed.]
@Liz, the photographer said she saw it in a zoo--the blurriness comes from defocusing the cage.
I love dikdiks! I was once licked by a dik dik at the Denver zoo!
Awwwwwwww...:-)
Oh man! Am I the only one who desperately wants to see the sproingage?
I've never seen this species before.. what a weird looking thing..
Yes, Meg, if possible, may we have some serious sproingage sometime? Uppy-downny sproinging with or without food, just the sproingage- dikdik sproingage would be nice, but ocelot or another aminul would do, too.
ThanksThanks for the dikdik!
sproingage!!
All these comments and still nobody's making dikdik jokes?
Nottmi, they used them all up on Tapirs and their Big Schnozzles. Though the Dik Dik is unusually equipped in the schnozzle department as well.
The mohawk! And I'll bet when he eats, his little nose goes all "schnorble, schnorble" as it grasps little green plants... OMG.
He must be bitty as well - double cuteness points!
Erica... seriously? You just printed that as a comment? :)
Looks like the Dik Dik just looked in a mirror and realized he looks like Jimmy Durante.
Where's Mrs Catlabash when we have a good Jimmy Durante reference??
I don't think I've ever seen one of these before...Totally SQUEEABLE!!!
LMAO Theresa!!
Antelopes don't sproing! They PRONK. Yup, they go pronking across the savannahs.
With odd little noses...
@Ed: I tewtelly gave that to my friend Katy for Christmas last year. High five!
When I am reincarnated, I want to come back as a big one of these, so people will say: "Look at that big dikdik".
[I don't think they come in "big", K. Besides, they keep telling me size doesn't matter... - Ed.]
just looking at that made my legs go numb. good thing i have a desk job (sorta). (i mean, sorta have a desk job, and good thing i'm sitting, or the numblegs would make me fall)
Sorry to go back to this after so long but...Yes, Katie Kat, I was actually licked by a dik dik at the Denver zoo. The tiny little guy walked right up to the fence, so I stuck my finger out to his wriggling little schnozzle and he licked me! I shall never forget heem!
