Can't figure out if it's a real Birkin bag or not. I mean who carries a dog in a $7,000 bag and doesn't have a car with nicer interior? Must know the answer to this and other IMPORTANT questions.

I'm not nuffin, but the first thing I thought of was the South Park episode where Paris Hilton makes Butters her new pet. Something about pet=accessory is odd to me, but I'm a guy so accessorizing (?) in general is kind of a foreign language.

Birkins come in all shapes and sizes, so it's very possible that bag is a birkin or at least a well executed knockoff? I do recognize the Coach next to Sir SitsALots.

well, being I bought the current handbag I'm carrying at Kmart, I know not of what you speak. However, even when I shop at the mall, none of the handbags come with pups! Some throw in a wallet (got a lovely bag & wallet from QVC, Stone Mountain) but pups? So I guess I should being going down to Manhattan for my bags? Please advise, need pup stat.

I seriously need to start shopping wherever you get a puppy with a bag purchase. Between the puppy addiction and the purse addiction, I doubt my DH would ever let me go shopping by myself ever again! The house would be overrun with pups and purses!
It's a fake. i can tell by the quality of the stitching. It's also missing several other key details. Coach isn't that high-end, esp. a basic monogrammed Coach fabric bag.
Is the biggest issue on this blog at the moment REALLY if the "Birkin" bag is real or not? Honestly, who really cares? That pup is adorable, and that's what this blog is for. Go find a purse blog if you want to debate on real or knock-off.

Kind of obnoxious to bag on someone's bag when the person has gone to such great effort to bring us such a cute photo. Not saying you can't comment, just sayin' it's obnoxious. The real/fake is an honest debate, but passing judgment is, in my view, kind of mean. Focus on the puppy, people!

Personally, I can't afford a shih-tzu OR a Birkin, but that doesn't mean I (and apparently a lot of other people) can't appreciate the Qte, wherever it is or however much it costs. It's Cute, dammit!

Cutie-wootie Puppeh! And it are a "Barkin!" The flap is tucked in where Puppeh placed his Pawsie. Very comme il faut (Puppeh, and flap-tucked-in, both.) A "Barkin" in the iconic Hermes orange, no less, and if my eyes don't deceive me, in Clemence leather. You can see the buckle peeking out right where the handle is stitched down.
Peeps, a Puppeh in a genyooowine Barkin isn't an accessory afterthought. He must be vewwy, vewwy pwecious to his human Momma if she's willing to risk him poopin' in an $8K (or much more by now, who knows) handbag. And I confess, there's a very, very dark corner of my soul that wishes he would, as long as I could see the expression on her face when she finds it.
