I bet brown middle pup looked back at the pictures and said in a very blessed voice: My, how they've grown.

No, no, bad Leah! You do not say the f-word on this site! *snerk*

Hey, is it just me, or does the "The More You Know" logo remind anyone else of "Reading Rainbow?" Everytime I see it, I remember part of the theme song to that show. Yuck, earworms.

brinnann
 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 10:24 AM

Yikes, the f-word *and* shouting! And, Brinnann, how COULD you get the Reading Rainbow song stuck in my head? Have you no sense of decency?

hey-h
 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 10:29 AM

If I have to suffer, why should I suffer alone?

*hums the tune to Reading Rainbow*

Adorables!
Leah, I didn't see any naughty words. Looks like (Ed.) may have fixed things up for ya.

 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 11:06 AM

It was only a naughty word if you think the word that comes between "zeroeth" and "second" is naughty.

Butterfly in the skyyyy...I can fly twice as hiiiiigh....

[actually, "zeroeth" is the "naught"ier word, if you want to split hairs... - Ed.]

Yeah, I'm thinking early on the middle pup is all "Who are these whiny brats and why did you bring them home?" and by the end he is all "These guys, these guys HERE are my #1 best buddies ever!" And then they all go play together in the grass.

Please note that as wee lil guys, the pups are leaning on the big guy in the middle, the one in control. By the final pic, he's leaning on the specimen to his left. It's like one big snorgle fest. And HOLY COW those are beautiful dogs.

Are you trying to tell me those are the *same* 3 dogs?? and no special effects?? I sure hope the middle one was nice to her big/little brothers while they were still little!! (Kind of like.. be good to your kids.. they'll be the ones to pick your old folks home!)

"Naught"ier. [Ed.], you kill me.

hey-h
 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 11:54 AM

They are the same pups! Cause if you look at the shadings on their nosies...it's the same throughout...but i think the huskies change sides a few times. :)

Hailey
 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 12:07 PM

They aren't huskies, they're Alaskan Malamutes. And they do grow from lil' tiny furballs to BIG, BIG dogs. They are very territorial and probably very protective of their little brother or sister!

i'll bet that spaniel has those puppehs trained "just exactly like he likes em"
so cute!

liz
 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 12:08 PM

Yes, mighty Malamutes. Wonderful dogs, enormous furballs who like to run around, dig, and talk quite a bit. Woo-woo!

Theresa
 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 12:20 PM

Spaniel trained those giant dawgs well when they were puppehs, I'm sure.

Kudos to their person for thinking to take these photos!

too cute, I luv the way he gets happier as they get bigger. Maybe he felt he had to watch out for them when they were little and now that they're grownup he's all relaxed.

Personal fav. Love, love, love the site but the pooches don't always get as many posts as they deserve. Well done, Miss Meggers!

Metsie, he's only relaxed until they start coming in at 4 in the morning.

brinnann
 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 01:05 PM

I'll bet in the last two pics he was all "Look at these dudes! I knowed them since they was knee high to a grasshopper!"

Kevin
 |  Jan 02, 2008 at 01:17 PM

brown pup's expression changes from 1) worried about how to raise these monsters 2) careful to keep an eye on them as they may be overconfident 3) trusting them to behave 4) enjoying the goofy "teenage"ness to 5) delighted they grew up so big and handsome and strong! Wonderful big brother/sister. And yes thank you "so moishe" to the owner who had enough presence of mind to take the photos!!

soooooo, am I the only moron who looked quickly at the pics and didn't realize till the very very end that it was a succession of pics of the same pups? Derrrr.

super cool set, btw :)

Did anyone else observed that in the first picture, the pupe are too small to wear harnesses. In the second, they each have a harness that looks waaaaay too big. They fit well in the third picture but are waaaaaaay too small in the fourth. And in the final picture, like the first, no harness at all due to size. Interesting-- makes me want to do that with a puppy.

I can just see that spaniel cruising the neighborhood with his posse, looking to start some trouble with the local bullys.

"Hey, bud! You looking for trouble? Well talk to these guys."

Heh. It's like he grew his own bodyguards.

That picture reminds me of the families that I've seen where tiny little ladies have tall and stocky sons (and later grandsons).

I had a small kitteh named BooBoo in the '70s and when one of my roomies got a lab puppeh, BooBoo bossed it around and tormented it unmercifully. When he grew to about 60 pounds or more, he was STILL terrified and subservient to the 6-pound cat (as it should be, of course!) Wonder if middle dog still rules the roost?

aww, this is wonderful!

Why is the spaniel's ear fur very thin in the second to last picture? Is it really the same dog? or did the owner shave his dog?
