Dainty paws over on ICHC

Thank you for pointing this out, I Can Has Cheezburger. Hedgehog paws still defy the laws of physics and look like they're going to snap off at any moment...

It's fine because the hedge is about 87% fluff anyway. No needz to pancake.

I love how the feet are evenly space all the way across the 'hog. Shouldn't there be a feet to body size ratio factor to cuteness. This guy's got it, for sure!

Wild hedgies who roll in poop and rotten whatever: not cute

Domestic hedgies who prance daintily on their magic wheels of spinnyness: Totally cute

I'm just amazed that a hedgehog Stanley Kubrick decided to make a hedgehog version of "2001: A Space Odyssey." (Play this with a Strauss waltz).

OK. I really want a hedge. Does anyone have one? Are the spines sharp?

i can't believe that your hedgie is running on a white wheel and it is totally spotless...JEALOUS!!! The second my little one hops on the wheel....well, let's just say it doesn't look like that...

Hedgie legs are longer and sturdier than they appear to. Just try grabbing a leg to trim nails - hedgies are superb at rolling up, tucking their legs in so tightly it can take weeks to clip 2 feet's worth of nails. Hedgies love to "fool" you. As for the white wheel, this hedgie must have perfect manners not to poop. amazing

Poor hedgie, you can see the way that its spine is bent shows that the wheel is too small for the little guy. He will get back problems if he doesn't get a bigger wheel soon. Hopefully the owner is smart and has gotten a new one. :)

Hehe, Joy my hedgehog lets me get all 4 feet done in 5 minutes. : X My trick is to take him out to do it when he's half asleep. XD

Pepper has to be in the mood for clippings (often I have to do one nail a day for two weeks and then he's good for a while...it just means extra foot baths to make his poop boots disappear)...and when he is good during his pedicure he has to make up for it by making his wheel extra messy...silly little one...

I think I've only trimmed my hedgie's nails once. He hated it, of course. His just really aren't that long. I have given him a few baths and now he gets freaked out by just the sound of running water. Poor guy. It's a rough life, being a hedgie!

And yes, his big round body and little skinny legs are a constant source of amusement around here. :)

It makes sense to have teeny little legs if you have to pull them really close when you roll up in a ball. Dainty paws rule!
