Thanks everyone for the kind words. My dog was, indeed an Australian Shepherd. Speaking of photoshop, I looked closely at the large version of the cat photo, and it does not look photoshopped to me. Sometimes high contrast areas or flash reflections of digital images will appear a bit wonky when compressed. But the photographer of that image can probably confirm it better than I could.
