The hats are a perfect fit!
Nice to see turtles can be color-coordinated, but they should have put a little salmon frosting on the sardines.

Clearly the bright, clashing colors and elastic bands are harmful to the turtles' sensitive ocular color receptors and diaphragms! Please remove this post immediately!

This is at least the cutest reptilian picture I've ever seen. Pets must seriously wonder what the heck goes on in our heads. :)

Turtle Anthropologist 1: this is the oddest of the cultural events they have invited us to thusfar.

Turtle Anthropologist 2: I sincerely hope this isn't the ritual at which they intend to eat us.

OMG, I just about busted a gut laughing at this one! But it looks like someone in photo two had a little piddle in the tub... prolly from too much soda pop.

He(she?) looks older than 2 - maybe we can get a look at the tell-tale belly markings...or is that just a turtle myth?

Are they playing a game of musical shells in the 2nd photo?

Kathie
 |  Jul 25, 2007 at 11:17 AM

I was very confused by the first picture -- I thought there were turtles on a wall!

Love the party hats. Do I detect a turtle smile in the last picture?

Courtney
 |  Jul 25, 2007 at 11:18 AM

i was looking at the last picture with the turtle and the sardines. i thought to myself...that turtle doesn't exactly seem to thrilled about the sardines. must be a picky eater.

soulcal006
 |  Jul 25, 2007 at 11:19 AM

It's not that he's not thrilled about the sardines -- that's a "put me down!" look if I ever saw one. Ehn, ehn!

Did anyone notice that the turtle's name is SEAWEED? How perfect can that be? And I can tell by the beady eyes and splayed toes in the last pic that is one turtle who wants DOWN! Hehehe

I think in pic 2 they are doin' the Hokey Pokey.
"Put your right foot in, put your right foot out..." ;)

Do you know why the turtle blushed? Because the sea wee-d. HA. Or is it because Seaweed peed in the tub?

Andrea

Put your right flipper in,
Put your right flipper out.

Put your turtle 'tocks in,
Put your turtle 'tocks out.

Why only 1 candle? Shouldn't Seaweed have 2? Or even 3 so he can have one to grow on? And what do turtles wish for when they blow their candles out?

charliewabba
 |  Jul 25, 2007 at 11:47 AM

I think they wish for other turtles.

Love people who love their pets.
Happy bday Seaweed!! Great name and seems like you are a lucky turtle. Got lots of friends and people who luff you. (Bear with them - humans are just odd. But this means they love you.)

Many many more!

Is Seaweed One or Two years old? The balloons have a two on it but there is only one candle on the sardine cake. Now I don't feel bad when I throw birthday parties for my dogs....

omg Today's my birthday and it's been the most horrible day ever (The Boss would be at the top of the list...) and I can't even tell you how much this tickled me, i.e., got my spirit up and out of the gutter. Thanks and Cheers! to CO who has saved the day once again!!!

This is so great! I wonder if the other turtles are neighborhood friends.. y'know the kid next door kind of thing.. or roommates/siblings of Seaweed's. I'm beginning to want a turtle. :: sigh::

Mary (the first)
 |  Jul 25, 2007 at 12:49 PM

Oh yes turtles!!!!!!!!!!! Something other than kittehs or doggies. I love it.

Shannon Johnson
 |  Jul 25, 2007 at 12:50 PM

The turtle in the third picture is probably irritated that the price tag was left on the seaweed box--what bad taste! Hilarious concept, though, the whole b-day party thing.

A turtle birthday party! I have now officially Seen Everything.

I'm going to be giggling about this one all afternoon.

Leannrose,
And they didn't even wrap it! Not even in foil or the funny papers (when no real wrapping paper is on hand).

Okay, now I know why I'm addicted to this site. My mind is just reeling from those pictures. I, for one, would love to meet the thrower of bday party. My type of peep.

Doing something like this with turtles has never occurred to me! A party hat on a turtle? Genius!!

Extra howls for the floor decor. Is there any other way to do it turtle style?

Love, love this!

Sheesh.
A girl spends the day workin her fingers to teh bone and all heck breaks loose at CO. What is the world coming to? First a poor helpless kitten is squished and now you're showing off turtle keggers in the can no less.
*wanders off muttering*
*runs back in to giggle at the turtle b-day party & saunters off humming teh teletubbies tune*
Again again! lalallalla
Tinklewinkle tinkywinky, budubmumpbumpmup, paddapaddapaddapo....heh
