And will someone *PLEASE* now explain what "bleen" is?

Pretty please? With pudding on?

Oh the poor thing! Starving right to death. I doubt he's seen food in WEEKS! Ask him... it's been absolutely FOREVER!

Thems are some giant feetsies. Will he be growing into them yet?

Puppy eyes...muzzlepuff...Mr. Giant Paws McDishersons, you must be an expert at melting your people's hearts! While you wait, I have some steak in the fridge, how would you like yours cooked?

Rosie

Kate, I'm with you there. I think I've figured out most of the "CO special language" but bleen still has me stumped! Our dog Ralph would do the dish thing too, but mostly it was to move it so he could keep his eye on it at all times!

Somebody feed that dog, will ya? That is the same face my dog gives me 10 minutes after he's eaten. He's wonderful at making me feel like the meanest mommy in the world and like I never feed him! Awww, poor Pups McPuperson...hang in there. Suppertime's a-comin!

This is SO precious! And he has the "I'm SO starved!! Oh puh-LEEZE take pity on me!" look nailed. Hilarious!

S'ok....You guyses know that Theo gets all kinds of persnickety about us all jumping up and down and typing "First??!!" when a new post goes up & has no comments yet? K...well, it seems like "bleen" has become a synonym for "First??!!" as well as a term of annoyance re the first post thing.

Does that make sense, class? *looks around the room at class with "baroo?" looks on their faces*

SO SAD...
thing is, I bet he just finished emptying that bowl lol.

I too have been confused about the bleen, and asked and got no answers.
So I looked it up on urbandictionary.com.
It appears to be the number between 6 and 7.
Which is confusing me more, how does that relate to cuteoverload?

This reminds me of my fiance's dog, Rocky. He does that same exact thing. He picks up his bowl, and looks at you the same exact way.

Karenbear, I've never heard those definitions of bleen. They really don't apply here at least. Maybe we can get Mr. Theo to define?

I like cheryl's alternative caption. I would add: You invited me to brunch, and you said bring a dish...

Karenbear: Apparently George Carlin first used the word. http://www.answers.com/topic/bleen

Dogs are great at convincing their people that they're about to just waste away to nuffing, right in front of your eyes, if they don't get somfing to eat. They're absolutely starvacious and might even faint from hunger.

Aw, poor starving puppy, c'mere, I'll fix you some snackies!

 |  Apr 15, 2007 at 06:35 PM

No, Puppy, I am impervious to your sad-clown eyes and cleverly draped muzzlepuff--impervious, I tell y...oh, fine. Biscuits with your eggs? Parsley garnish?

Peg of Tilling
 |  Apr 15, 2007 at 07:35 PM

that's the sweetest, saddest, most pathetically adorable thing I've ever seen. c'est tout.

Puppeh is STARVED!!!

Not really, but I'd give puppeh whatever he wanted to eat. He is workin' those eyes.

If my behbeh was big enouff to life her bowl, y'BET she'd use this UBER-CUTE tactic.

This is exactly why there are SO many obese pets out there.

BE STRONG PEEPS - you're working against the very core of evolutionary training but your pets need ya to be strong! ;)g

We had a brown Lab when I was a teenager. Dad would make a sandwich for lunch, go out to the lawnchairs on the patio, and TRY to eat his whole sandwich.

With every bite he took, Caesar's (the dog's, natch) eyes would look more worried, his ears would droop ever lower, until finally only one bite was left ... Dad NEVER finished his own sandwich, in the seven years that Caesar knew what a sandwich was (food!). All crying-eyes, straight-down-drooping ear flaps, blubbering lips (I swear, he looked like he was getting ready to sob)... too much to bear!

I have a retreiver and thank goodness he never picks up his dish, for two reasons its got food in it,, he will not eat it without cereal. # 2 he clock his favorite cat Henry And that knnock him out. Mc Muzzlepouch will not only not starve because of his good looks but because we also need to grow into those feets. rumff is that a bark sounds like with bowl in your mouth???

I love the way dogs drop "gentle hints" like this. And the way they suck in thier stomachs to achieve that abused-and-starving look.

My cats try to convince me they're starving, too. Only they take it one step farther. When I ignore them and don't give them treats, they try to trip me - so they can gnaw on me as I lay there helpless, I'm sure!

lindr
 |  Apr 16, 2007 at 06:34 AM

Too adorable! I love everything about it - including the unspoken Baroo?
Yitzy the cat tells me it's dinner time by meowing loudly & insistently as I am feeding Lucy the diabetic doggie - "Feed ME TOO, Mom - NOW!!"
