Rule #23 Knobby knees are cute

Rule #23, People! It's been a while since we've seen a new rule, and this is long overdue. Spindly lil' legs with knobby hocks are a must. Don't fight me on this!

Little mobile fawn is from Heather C., the Seashepardess!

Teddy
 |  Jun 14, 2006 at 04:10 PM

I don't want to get all technical, but technically what we're fawning over are "hocks" and not "knees".

It looks so angry! As if it's saying "I've told you not to take pictures of me from that angle; it makes my butt look big!"

Way to disambiguate, Aubrey. You have the eyes of a hock.

Theo
 |  Jun 14, 2006 at 05:49 PM

Shannon - what great pics on your sister's blog! The otter with the food mush all over his face made me giggle.

Thanks for using my pic!!!!

This is one of many cute animals I get to work with at Wolf Hollow Wildlife Rehab Center here on San Juan Island. I am keeping a blog of my weekly volunteer stints at http://seashepherdess.blogspot.com/ and this is from one of the recent postings, taken after moving the fawns to ourdoor mobile pens during the day!

I'm all for Rule#22:

Sorry, Meg ... I'm getting my boxing gloves on ... I challenge rule number 22! Where it would work fine with fawns ... well ... please note the spindly legs and knobby hocks of evidence "A":

Much more nerds out there would be getting the love if this rule applied. Sadly, there are no women out there I know of that remark on how cute that guy looks with his spindly legs and knobby knees.

It's starting to get creepy how many of these rules apply to...me. Giant forehead, knobby knees & spindly legs, floppy limbs, dainty "paws", helpless look in eyes, and yes--everyday small items make me look small. I'm trying to convince myself that I'm cute, and not a freak of nature.

I think those are knobby elbows actually. The knees are in the front.

Meaghan
 |  Jun 15, 2006 at 04:26 PM

<3333 I love deer. Not so much the rule, (maybe sometimes) but I love those beautiful, beautiful animals. :') It's wondering why it's legs are so funny.

Muffin
 |  Jun 16, 2006 at 01:26 AM

TGOT: actually, I have this thing for skinny guys (blushes and looks around sheepishly).

Meaghan: those are hocks, actually. All animals in the world, except the elephant, who possesses four knees, have hocks on their hind legs.
