These cats strutting their couture is too cute. Maybe not quite right, but cute. I like the tie and wrap. People are making bank creating and selling this stuff. Too bad I can't sew or create. Link: Cute Overload: How [Read More]

The eyes! The ears! You're killing me!!!

Jujube
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 06:43 AM

Oh, the indignity! The pick ruff is kind of cute, though, since it matches the nose so perfectly.

Laurie C
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 06:47 AM

"pink", I meant, not "pick" of course.

Laurie C
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 06:47 AM

This is a definite case of feline abuse if ever I did see one. Poor pussycats - the humiliation. But we all love it nonetheless.

Yes, I am going to have my kitties go corporate now. Neckties, tiny briefcases, late nights at the office, a scotch at home, and a Sharper Image stock ticker in the living room.

Ooo, Scottish folds! With wee accessories! Someone obviously made these lovingly by hand. I'm surprised there isn't a kitty kilt. With a sporran made out of Burns' "wee, tim'rous, sleekit, cooring beaties" (aka a mouse).

 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 07:02 AM

That first cat looks the saddest. Full head coverage! But the second cat looks taken aback. I hope he wasn't engaging in any illegal stock trading!

Courtney
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 07:03 AM

The amusing thing is that the cats manage to look so dignified, and yet so pained, while clothed in their ridiculous gear. I do wonder what cats are thinking when we do stuff like this to them.

A thinker
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 07:19 AM

brownamazon, I'm pretty sure that the pink collar ruff in pic #3 is a woman's hair scrunchie.

Laurie C
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 07:21 AM

oh my, scottish folds. *almost* equivalent to yeller kittehs in personality and awesomeness.

the pinnacle of evolution is, of course, a yeller scottish fold, as exemplified by Milk:

Definite candidates for CuteOverlord... ;)

LOL to the Engrish at Cat "Prin" - especially the instructions. Apparently, you're supposed to cheer and yell while you dress up your poor cat and give the cat a "hub."

Gorgeous cats, though! The first cat is definitely thinking, "I'm going to get you back. Just you wait."

When I was a wee little lass, I used to have a brown & black tiger cat named Butterball. I'd dress ol' Butter up in my doll-baby clothes, put him in the doll stroller, and push him around the neighborhood. He was a saint amongst cats. I still miss him 30+ years later!

I love the kitteh death glares.

Pure loathing on Frog!Kitteh, righteous indignation on Tie!Kitteh and long suffering grief on FuzzyPinkBoa!Kitteh.

Pic#1: Haha asshole, now take it off...
Pic#2: She did again, she must die...
Pic#3: You realize I must kill you now, right? No....no, seriously ...

*g* These poor cats, the indignity of dressing them up is bad, but documenting it for the world to see... ouch.

There is a NHYEEEREEE in there just WAITING to come out.

TheIdleReceptionist
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 07:58 AM

Wow, those cats are patient! They're not giving the camera the best look, but my cat wouldn't last a second in an outfit like that, not even talking about a picture being taken.

Very very cruel things we do to cats to make them even cuter. =P

Kate
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 07:58 AM

Oh sweet Mother! These pictures are clearly an example of what is not okay in cat ownership. I'm agog.

Wisefool
 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 08:04 AM

I don't care what anyone says; the white kitten is unmercifully cute looking.

Of course he/she would look cuter WITHOUT the accessories!

WhiteKitty: "If you wanted a duck you should have gotten a flippin' DUCK! HE is not a business man, I am not a duck, NOR am I a bloody MOVIE STAR (granted, an oversight on many people parts)! Now use those opposable thumbs for something USEFUL like opening that can of Fancy Feast. Twit."

The eyes, The eyes!!!
The cats now OWN me.
I.....will......obey

English Chick

Kc,

"their ears are freakishly small for cats that size/age"
and the eyes ridiculously large. that's what makes Scottish Folds such an interesting-looking breed.
NOTE: sometimes the earls are folded, sometimes not; regardless, there is always a small ear-to-head ratio.

Dude, that last one looks like it's straight out of the Simpsons. These are not happy cats. Why, oh why? If we keep doing things like this to our pets, they are going to turn on us. You just wait.

Yes, I can just imagine: cats taking over the world; torturing every human possible. XD

Kate

Aww Bunbun and buns are all nice and cool on the hardwood floor. And he's totally trying to slide himself over to the water - "ehn!" A perfect summer picture!

Good God. The cat in picture three looks like he's been put into a pink pillory.

A coworker sent me to CatPrin a couple of years ago. . .the Engrish is almost more enjoyable than the kitties!

I would so not want to be owned by that last one. He looks like he is ready to kill someone.

 |  Jun 01, 2006 at 09:58 AM

My gels would have your hand slashed and be out of the cat flap in two seconds. I think this demeans the cats. As someone once said a cat is a wild animal that chooses to live with you.Having said that, Scotish folds are weired looking like some sort of soft toy, so that these clothes don't look that out of place.

it's one thing to dress your kitties up when you're a little kid, it's just plain odd to do it as an adult!
