HedgeSpa

Dahlings, There is no better way to start the week than with a few spa treatments. First, get your quills moisturized. Twice. They bring out your beady eyes.

Second, your dainty paws could use an apricot scrub and peppermint oil massage. Those paws are tiny, and you carry the weight of the Cute World on them. They must be refreshed!

Lastly, and most importantly, I recommend BeautyHedge nose cream, for a supple, come-hither schnozzle. Try it, Dahlings!

I think I need to borrow the white pup's bifocals, because I thought A thinker said to remove all pickles first, and I'm down with that, since I hate pickles.

I'm not sure of their efficacy as a beauty treatment, though. The acidity might be good for the complexion.

I'm not feeling too quick on the draw today re. humorous comments, but I'm mos' def' lovin' this hedge.

Variations on a theme suggested by Elizabeth (weeeeeeeeeeee, I'm going to hell!!!)

"And the webmaster came in unto him, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Broadband is with thee: blessed art thou among hedgies.
And the webmaster said unto him, Fear not, Hari: for thou hast found favour with Meg.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive a website, and bring forth a cult, and shalt call its name CuteOverload."

The danger, of course, of having your hedgehog in with your towels is that horrible day when you can't find your loofah and you're sooooo laaaaazy and he's riiiiiight there...

pewsonawly, I think Hari is in the preparatory stage to become a "hedgie burrito" (cf. April 25, 2006 'kitten push-up' post).

Looks like hedgie's had his quills highlighted too, for that chic streaked look.

BTW, I could swear there was a whole section on the CO main page yesterday written by Theo, summarizing the best posts from last week. Did I imagine that??

Dustbunny
 |  May 08, 2006 at 02:47 PM

She must be the daintiest darlingest hedgie possible!!

I saw it too, Dustbunny. I seem to remember a birdie in a towel.

 |  May 08, 2006 at 02:50 PM

Dustbunny & Little Miao -- Huh. I missed it completely. I did write something up, and Meg was doing some re-formatting; I just figured she ran out of time before it wasn't Sunday anymore.

[time passes] ...OK, I just checked on it in the TypePad management screens (took forEVER to load! yeesh), and it it looks like the post did get prettied up with photos & colors & an intro by Meg. It's also been re-titled "The Sunday Wrap-up: 5/1 to 5/7" sooooo I'm guessing it may show up NEXT Sunday, presumably along with a new one.

Meg? Weigh in?

Theo
 |  May 08, 2006 at 03:09 PM

No, no, Theo. What happened was exactly what you predicted: with three comments, that post went into a recursive meta-feedback comment loop, or whatever you said. It disappeared into the infinity of CO, only to randomly reappear (sometimes) as one of the navigation links at the top of the page, only to disappear when you looked for it again. Three comments were just too much--they tipped the balance.

What a cute little guy. That reminds me, my little boy has a report to do on a book called "Hedgie's Surprise" by Jan Brett that we need to do tonite. Just showed him this pic and he goes "yaaaaaaawwwwwwww"! He's addicted to CO, too.

"After a day-long visit to her favorite Barb-er Shop, Hari is living proof that a detailed beauty regimen is worth the trouble! Beginining with a hedge trim, she continues with a frost, eye sparkle treatment and full body wrap, to prolong that shapely hedgie-sillhouette. And, lo, she emerges - spikey and adorable!"

A) what the heck is with emo rangers?!
B) no-one imagined that post and im kind of responsable for the timeloop majigger, [as if that could actually happen, that sounds as stupid as "the worlds going to end in 2000 because the computers will set it to the begining of time" thing]
