Antonio H. Just stop it. Look at this, will you? This image is the epitome of "ehn!" [trying to reach]

May I be the first to thank you for introducing a way to spell a word I use all the time.

That photo would make a great poster with some inspirational phrase captioning it, but "Ehn!" really says it all!!

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 06:49 AM

'Hey hey lemme see what's going on can I can I huh pleeeeeease?'

BTW, Meg, I think you should have a caption contest ... post a photograph and invite captions from readers. What say?

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 07:01 AM

Thank you, Raffi, for your words of wisdom and truth...

Six little ducks that I once knew.....

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 07:15 AM

Ahhh -- I *fear* a caption contest for this pic, mainly because I've seen it 100 times already on an IRC images archive, and 99% of the time, the captions dive straight straight into the obvious racist "humor." Oh giggles (not).

It's not that I don't trust CuteOverloaders to post with civility (snort!), it's just, y'know, 99 times bit, 198 times shy.

(PLEASE NOTE: IRCimages.com is absolutely Not Safe For Work; it's a big unfiltered internet out there.)

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 07:20 AM

Theo--I was wondering about that, myself...

Me? I just saw cute little duckies, m'self--but then, I was raised to judge people the same way I judge a piece of fruit--it's the sweetness inside that counts, not the color of the peel.

As for the pic itself...? HEE!! At this rate I'm not just gonna melt, I'll sublimate straight into a vapor and end up raining all over Spain! (Mainly on the plain, of course...)

Fuzzy duck butts!

Just as cute as fuzzy puppy butt!

Makes me think of Lemon Jelly, "Nice Weather For Ducks."

Who knew you could stand on tippy-web?

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 08:15 AM

the tiny wings, the stretching feets (Ggaspp!)

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 08:16 AM

Are you always a wind bag, Theo?

I just wondered about what the two different types of ducks were when I saw that picture... was surprised to see reference to racism, but I guess I can see how that could be stretched out of the photo...

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 08:17 AM

Only online.

2 duckling pictures in 2 days?!? Are the heaven puppy and scurry bunny about to frolic/hop over to me as I'm m agically transported to a lush field of green, too?

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 08:29 AM

Dude. All I saw was ducks, wondering how one of them was a different breed and if he was lost from his mommy....

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 09:18 AM

Theo's the most lovable wind bag on the INTARVEB.

I do know of what he speaks, and it is sad. It is nice seeing an *unedited* version of this picture. it makes it innocent once again. :)

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 09:25 AM

And yes, Carol, the tippy-web in this takes the cake!

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 09:27 AM

OK... I retract the portion of my comment above mentioning other CuteOverload commentators. I don't mean to dump all over everyone (just... some people). Sorry.

"Hey guys, where are you going, the pond is over there! Come back here! Don't leave me...."

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 09:30 AM

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 09:30 AM

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 09:33 AM

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 09:41 AM

does downing 10 pints count as 'drinking'?

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 10:02 AM

Theo loves all the COers and we all love him. (Within reason.)

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 10:08 AM

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 10:18 AM

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 11:16 AM

How does you pronounce "ehn"?

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 11:31 AM

My new favorite word is "ehn!"

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 11:32 AM

Just make a light grunting sound, as though you were about the size of your fist, and reaching for a grape. :)

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 01:14 PM

hey i sent this one in and u didn't post it for me!

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 02:17 PM

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 02:43 PM

Meg, "Ehn!" should really be just an entirely new cuteness "rule". Anything small and precious that is trying hard to stretch out or do anything particularly difficult (for it) is cute. Does anyone DISAGREE with this????? I thought not.

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 04:47 PM

I second Denise....but..ehn.. I can't...ehn...quite reach...the ballot box.

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 05:39 PM

....I'm on to you! Your main goal is to kill us with cuteness! ... *must submit something*

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 06:10 PM

This is very cute!! However, you had best put gloves and hats on those ducks to make sure that they don't get the bird flu.

 |  Feb 21, 2006 at 11:48 PM

i second the "ehn" category

 |  Feb 22, 2006 at 12:26 AM

EHN! I love that sound. *_*

 |  Feb 22, 2006 at 02:41 AM

This picture reminds me of me of my little brothers. Y'know back when they really were little (& small enought to beat up). "Hey guys, where are you goin'? Can I come too? Pleasepleaseplease? Fine, be that way! I'll just follow you! Ehn!"

 |  Feb 22, 2006 at 05:54 AM

Ehn! I love it. :-D

 |  Feb 22, 2006 at 01:12 PM

ahhh poor wittle duky poo

 |  Feb 22, 2006 at 01:40 PM

This pic makes me a little sad and worried. Is the yellow duckling just different from his siblings? Is he lost? Where's his mom?

 |  Feb 23, 2006 at 12:51 AM

those are swanlings. he's a duckling. gosh, you must not have read the ugly duckling as a kid. This is just it, reversed. Anyway its dead, it has died of starvation probably by now.

 |  Feb 23, 2006 at 09:40 AM

put the sweetness into mc'donadls cola

 |  Feb 26, 2006 at 12:33 AM

I know my comment is a bit late, but I'm fairly sure this is a copyrighted image... from a local newspaper. The Roanoke Times, in Roanoke, VA. Just thought I'd pass that along.

I have to admit, the first potential caption that crossed my mind was something along the lines of "I don't know about this whole "bussing to inner-city schools idea..." So, I'd say you have a point, Theo.

(Or maybe: "White Ducks Can't Jump!")
