I thought I'd share this link for dishcloth patterns (which in my mind are the same as washcloths except you use them on your face.).  There are some cute one's here...how abotu a martini washcloth for all your favorite Chicks?

Pick Up Sticks

I've been meaning to write about Pick Up Sticks for a couple of weeks now.  This Oakland based company contact us when their website went live in November & is their stuff ever cute.  They sent along some great patterns which I think some of you saw at knitting last week.  A couple of us are already talking about doing a pillow knit along in January.

All there projects are felted & you can buy the pattern or a kit complete with the yarn.  Some of you may have seen their felted Bell and Flower Top Hats at Noe Knit.  I'm personally a big fan of their pillow patterns & their bags are really nice too.  Plus a sushi wallet?  Who doesn't need one of those?   The snugs are the cutest kids slippers.  This local company has done good!

Hey and if you looking to make a little money from your knitting they are looking for a couple knitting to knit up samples for them for TNNA in January.  They do all the finishing & felting.  If you are interested just email me & I'll get you the information.

Jester Hat

I was reading my daily dose of knitting blogs at lunch & Green Mountain Mama made the cutest Jester Hat.  I followed her link & discovered the pattern is free on The Garter Belt along with 16 other really fun looking projects.

new online patterns & a sale

The new Magknits is up. There is a nice v-neck sweater this month.  Also some patterns on AntiCraft  This site seems to lean a little more towards the gothic but there is some interesting stuff...check out the flowered headdress.   

Imagiknit is having is yearly yarn sale on Saturday, May 13th starting at 11am.  If you plan on checking it out my suggestion is go early the first day for best selection and be prepared to stand in line.

Janet's felted bag

As part of our current casual bag knit along Janet has been working on a feltted tote similar to the Lucy or Misty bag. She sent us these pictures today of her progress...

Here is the bag pre-felting

and here is is shaping & drying. Janet say's the bottom & body shrank to about 1/3 their size but the straps didn't shrink as much....may go in for a second felt. She used Nature Wool for this bag.
