Shut out by Comedy Night!

Can you believe they thought WE were too noisy on Monday? Comedy Night shut the door on the Chicks this week because we had a great fun group and made too much noise! Lots of new and returning faces. Lots of fun projects! We'll be planning our summer yarn swap soon, so go through that stash and figure out what's been sitting there for five years! Leslie is the only one with a moderate organized stash. The rest of us have enough to knit until 2050.

It was the last night for Noe Knit to be open and sadly we gathered to enjoy it and try to create some merriment! The shelves were getting bare, but everyone's love for the community created is still strong! Some pictures of the last night.....

Loud Monday!

Probably the loudest I have ever heard the bar last night! Ack! However, still a fun night of knitting with some new faces!

How often do you see two men knitting doilies?

Not too often? well that is why I had to snap this awesome photo! Matthew also shared with us that his nickname is DD which stands for "Doily Dude". How very appropriate!



Hey, even I'm in the post this time!

A bigger crowd this week and Leslie's back! yay!

I guess nicer weather means more knitters come out to play! It was a really fun Monday and we welcomed back Leslie who has returned from a busy 6 months in the big apple.  Welcome back Leslie! We missed you!

Matthew never fails to disappoint with his quirky finished projects! His latest creation? Corporate Zombie!

Small group and Tina is back and so is Matthew!

We had a small gathering this week, but got to hear all about Tina's trip around the world and Matthew has returned after being out recuperating from hand surgery. Ouch for a knitter!

A quiet Monday and no Paramedics!

So I never got around to posting last week and thus did not get to tell the story of the drunken Bliss patron who in an attempt to get up off his barstool got stuck in between the bar and his stool so paramedics were called to try to wedge him out (and 86 his drunk self out of the bar). Lots of excitement! This past Monday was much quieter, but I finally have a finished project to show off!

Another fun monday and Kathryn's birthday!

A great night last night! I was worried that I would be the only one who wasn't ready to start the February Lady Sweater knit-a-long but was relieved to find out I was not the only one! I hope to be ready with my yarn by next week. It was also Kathryn's birthday and we sang to her!

January Heat Wave and a New President!!

For those of us that are lucky enough to live in the Bay Area it has been spectacularly gorgeous this last week. We should be in knit-a-heavy-sweater-mode, but it feels more like spring-knit mode! I did look up the weather in one of our founder's new hometown of Minnesota and it was 3 degrees (but says feels like -12!). Sorry Kathy!! We're thinking of you as we bask in the sun and enjoy the clear days!

Have fun everyone on inauguration day and go out and celebrate a new beginning!

Speaking of new beginning's we decided our knitalong will start the week after next which will be January 26th. Obviously anyone can start up and get going, it's just when we'll discuss the pattern a bit, etc. It's the February Lady's Sweater and you can find many completed projects on Ravelry or google it to find the free pattern.
